We are so fortunate, of course, to be surrounded by an unspoiled natural environment with an abundance of flavoursome produce. However, it still takes skill, dedication and creativity to produce the innovative cuisine that you will experience here. Our kitchen team, are an exceptionally dedicated crew, supported by knowledgeable and helpful front of house staff.

Afternoon Tea

Afternoon tea is a particularly English treat – definitely something of an indulgence. But why not? You’ll be breathing in that fresh, Lake District air. You’ll very likely have hiked into the village, rambled round a lake, or scrambled up a fell or two. When you’ve worked up an appetite, there’s nothing quite like tea, sandwiches and cake and a comfortable armchair in the lounge.
